Here's a short message from George:
"Hello. My name is George Tsougkouzidis
and I’m a Freelance Creature and Character Artist from Thessaloniki, Greece.
If you can’t pronounce my name, that’s okay. A lot of people have the same issue. The easiest way to pronounce it is ‘zoo-goo-zee-dis.’ We like to combine consonants in my native language but I’m sure it’s all Greek to you.
Several years ago, my country was crippled by a terrible financial crisis that saw many of my friends lose their jobs. I was one of the lucky ones. While I lost my job as project manager in a really successful construction company, it made me realize that I spent too many days working from sunup to sundown.
In 2014, with the support of my wife and my kids, I found opportunity in the crisis and began pursuing my childhood love of sculpting. I’ve been creating my own fantasy worlds ever since, telling stories with my bizarre and fearsome creatures and characters.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from my experiences, it’s this…
Don’t wait on your dreams. Go get them. If you believe in yourself, appreciate the hard work along the way and constantly work to improve yourself, you’ll never be a failure.
Thank you to everyone who supports my art and follows me on my journey. I couldn’t have done this without you."
